Autumn mood
Another morning at Quakjeswater. I begin to recognize some of the trees and spots already after so many visits. We had a few weeks of bad weather and a lot of rain and therefore some small ponds are already visible where there were none in the summer months. Autumn is near. You can smell it already, and also feel the typical autumn-ish mood in the air. For me, personally, it can not start soon enough.
I shot all the images with the D700 and the Carl Zeiss f2/100mm on a tripod. I only used the the largest diaphragm f2 and focused with liveview and a Hoodman HoodLoupe 3.0. The loupe is a must have! I am so happy with it. You can visually correct the diopter to match your eyes. If it looks sharp it is sharp. It is as simple as that. With liveview on the D700 you have to zoom in till maximum or one step before that to fine adjust the focuspoint. It works perfect. All the images are sharp where i wanted them to be sharp. Great! I found a solution that works for me.
Btw: after focusing i quit liveview and change the dial to mup (mirror up). Then i release the shutter with a release cable.
