Afewimages: Black and white fine art photography

Another cold winterday. I take the camera for a walk to the Bommelse gorzen between Den Bommel and Stad aan het Haringvliet. It is very quiet. Only the strange sound of geese mumbling on the shore can be heard. Nothing else. The sky is gray and passes slowly from the northeast.

A strange atmosphere. Also because it’s getting darker. I have just enough time to take some photographs. The meadow is covered with large puddles of melting ice. I decide to make the photos lying on the ground, in an attempt to catch the atmosphere. Chin and camera almost touching the freezing water. An angle viewfinder would be handy sometimes!

Becoming tired of putting myself in the strangest positions, i take a few shot without using the viewfinder. Camera on the ground, focus on the distant trees and hope that it works out. It did. This is the most beautiful shot I think.
